Before Your Class

After signing up for one of our online training classes, you will be automatically registered in the online classroom software that we use. The day before your class is scheduled to begin, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about the class, including your registration details, instructions on logging in, and links to course materials (such as a PDF version of the course presentation) you may wish to download. We strongly recommend that you test the software before the day of the class to ensure it will work with your computer's configuration. If you have any problems at this stage, or any other questions prior to the class, please email us.

On the Day of Your Class

Please be sure that you are on time for the class, so that we can begin as scheduled and avoid creating delays for the other participants. Note that our class times are in Eastern Standard Time (UTC -5:00, or UTC -4:00 when Daylight Savings Time is in effect). You can find out the current time in EST here. You should allow 15-20 minutes before the class to ensure that you are set up and logged in correctly.

If you know you are going to be late for the class, that is fine -- just please contact the instructor so that we can begin the class without you. Note that all participants will receive a link to a recording of the whole session 1-2 days after the class, so you can review any portions you may have missed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I schedule a class just for people from my organization?

If you have a group of more than five students, we may be able to arrange a special class session just for you at a time and date of your choosing. We can also tailor the course content to meet your specific needs -- just contact us and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

Can several attendees share one computer / conference room?

Our online classroom software allows anyone with a computer and an Internet connection to join our live classes. However, if you would prefer to have a group of trainees share one conference room setup, this can be arranged. You will still need to pay for each attendee, but in addition to our standard group discount we may be able to offer a further price reduction if they are sharing one voice connection, since phone charges represent a substantial part of our costs. Please contact us to discuss your situation.

Will you be able to cover my specific industry or situation?

One of the advantages of our live classes is that we have students from many different backgrounds and industries, ranging from large Fortune 500 companies to small start-ups to federal government agencies, located in countries all over the world. With our interactive online classroom software, you can easily ask questions about your industry or other specific considerations you may have, which we are usually happy to answer as these questions typically prove enriching for everyone. If your questions are particularly detailed or involved, or require additional research, you may feel free to contact the instructor after the class for further information, or even consider engaging us for consulting work on your project.

Do you offer billing options other than Paypal?

Note that you do NOT need a Paypal account to pay through Paypal -- they accept any major credit card. For most individual attendees, paying for the training by credit or debit card is usually the easiest option. However, if you have a larger group or other special considerations and would like to receive an invoice and pay by check, this can usually be arranged. Please contact us to discuss your situation.

Can your classes be used to satisfy professional training criteria?

If you are interested in taking one of our classes to fulfill a professional training requirement, we can provide you with a certificate of completion and outline of course materials which is often sufficient to receive credit hours for the class. If you are not sure whether your professional organization or certifying body will accept Custer Consultants online training as fulfillment of a training requirement, contact us and we will try to help.

Do you offer on-site training?

We firmly believe that online training can meet many, if not most, of your project management training needs, and provides advantages for both the customer (who saves money) and the instructor (who does not need to travel!) However, if you are interested in organizing an on-site training session at a particular location, we may be able to help, especially if you are located in the Central Florida area. Feel free to contact us to discuss pricing and availability for on-site training and conferences. Note that in addition to the courses listed here, we can also offer longer, more in-depth multi-day training courses on Earned Value Management, Cost Estimating, and other project management topics.

That's why we are excited to now be able offer some of our more popular classes in a pre-recorded version which you can watch right away. You will get the same content as the live class -- though without the ability to interact with the instructor -- for a fraction of the price.
